What got you started with the Sisters?
I first saw the Sisters in California (San Diego and LA) when I was stationed in Camp Pendleton (2013-2015); I'm a Marine Veteran (2010-2015). I have enjoyed gender bending since I was a small kid and I've felt a calling to help others since I was 10, but I wasn't sure how to. I looked to those in authority to help me make that decision and I feel like they lead me astray, influencing my life towards a path of clergy. As an adult, I dabbled in drag and felt it was too much for me. I started to dabble in gender bending and fell in love with it. Trying to fold my desires and passions into something homogenous, I knew becoming a Sister felt the best way to express myself. We didn't have a house in the area to join, so I reached out to Eunita Biskit who I knew had tried in the past so I could learn how to get started creating a house. They put me in touch with Sister Ivana who was already in the works of creating a local house. It felt like it was meant to be and that's how I met our other founding Sisters. Though most of us were already friends beforehand, I didn't know their interest in being Sisters as well.

How did you choose your name?
As a small child (0-9) I don't remember much of being in a religious family. When I was 10, my parents converted to Christianity and it changed our lives in ways I'd rather have never known. When I left their house, I went back to the religious roots of my great grandparents and started actively practicing Judaism. I loved the community and I've grown to love that above all else, I yearn for community. Religion in southwestern Virginia definitely knows how to lay on the stigmatic guilt and expiating it is a top priority for myself. For that I chose Sacral Idgits, because when it comes down to it, we're all just a bunch of Holy Idiots. When I came out to my mom at 23, among the many hurtful things she said, one was that I was being influenced by demons. I vowed to myself that this Demonically Influenced gay person was going to do more good than my mother ever thought possible. Being that I'm half Puerto Rican (on my dad's side), having it in Spanish felt perfect and DeMónica Influencia was added. In a way, it's like a family/last name for me.

What are some common mispronounciations of your name?
Sydney or Cindy instead of SIDMI

Who are your Co-Moms?
Ken Tagious and Kim Boocha

What do you want to accomplish as a Sister?
I really want to uphold the mission statement of SPI and make sure that this community is looked after with as much charitable work as my perpetually tired body can put out. I want to see the State of Virginia become even more charitable in turn, starting with our corner of Hampton Roads.

Religious Beliefs:
All beings are holy idiots influenced by our own demons, whatever they may look like.

What do you hope your look evolves into?
A beautifully horned demon of sorts.

Random Bit About Me:

I am a Dungeon Master for an in person D&D campaign I run at my home. I absolutely love all things sci-fi, fantasy, and horror.

My favorite quote:
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
- Edgar Allan Poe - from a letter to George Washington Eveleth, 1846
