How did you first find out about the sisters?
When I was living in Cincinnati, OH. I had a date with an odd, yet really sweet guy at a bar just about a month or two before the Pandemic. He told me all about the the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (but he wasn't in face, so I didn't get a frame of reference). Then the pandemic hit and we lost touch.
Fast-forward to May/June of 2020 during the George Floyd protests, I was involved in demonstrations where the Cincinnati Sisters made an appearance. It turned out, a few of my friends I had made before the pandemic were Sisters! My partner, whom I met shortly thereafter, was also a novice for the Sisters. Despite the excessive amount of glitter I always found in my Cincinnati apartment, once we moved to Virginia Beach and some of our friends were interested in starting this group, I was honored to be invited to join as a guard.
